Revisiting The North Point

Our last visit here was such a success that we couldn’t wait to get back for another round. To read about the fun times we had the first time click here.  It was at the height of summer and about a billion degrees last time, so we thought it would be fun to head back to the North Point on one of the coldest and darkest days of winter.

North point

This time around we had a much smaller group, which is recommended if you are planning to sit inside.  There is one cozy bench area at the front of the space that could accommodate a larger group.  Or, if you are lucky enough you may be able to put a few tables together along the opposite wall but be warned, when we arrived there was just one table open.  We were seated there and a couple that came in a few minutes after us was seated at the bar and it was officially a full house! Although the temperatures were bouncing around zero outside, we were feeling cozy and warm inside.  Even with the room full, if felt busy but not crowded.

The Happy Hour specials have not changed, thankfully, since out last visit. The North Point offers a $3.00 draught list and a $4.00 wine list Monday through Friday from 4:00 – 6:00pm. They also offer ½ price wine bottles on Monday from 6:00pm to midnight.  Now that’s a deal!

This time around we stuck with wine and were very happy with our choices. We were also served some nuts to munch on.  We checked the menu a few times because their cheese selection looked quite interesting, but somehow we just kept ordering more wine! Maybe next time.

The North Point really has a great thing going with their happy hour and by the looks of it, the word has gotten out! We just have two suggestions that we think would make it that much better:  a cocktail option for our liquor drinking friends and a food special.  We are already looking forward to you next trip back.
